Deck overlooking a lake with fall foliage, hot tub, table with glass jar, and wrought iron chairs.

Lakeside 93

Lakeside 93 is the smaller and more intimate of our two lakefront homes on Lake Logan in Logan, Ohio, and the standout feature is direct lake access right from the backyard. You can step off the deck and swim, fish, or launch a kayak without leaving the property. We bought this place because lake mornings are different from anywhere else, the water flat as glass, a heron working the shallows, coffee on the porch before the day starts. If Lakeside 71 is our slightly larger gathering house on the water, Lakeside 93 is the quieter one, built for two couples or a small family who want the lake to themselves.

Lake life on Lake Logan

Sleeping and space

Two bedrooms sleep up to four guests, with one full bathroom and a comfortable 900 square feet of living space. The layout is open and easy to live in: the living room flows into the kitchen, which keeps everyone in the same conversation whether you are cooking, pouring a drink, or watching the lake out the window.

Amenities

The deck is the part most guests end up loving. The hot tub runs year round with full views of Lake Logan, and on a clear night the stars over the water are worth staying up for. Inside, the living room has an electric fireplace and a smart TV with Roku, plus a strong cable and high-speed internet setup if you want to catch the game. The kitchen is set up for actual cooking, so if you want to do a big breakfast or grill out and eat in, you can. The covered porch looks straight over Lake Logan, which means morning coffee, afternoon reading, and end-of-day wind-downs all happen with the water in front of you. Onsite parking, an outdoor grill, and air conditioning come standard.

Location and lake activities

The backyard runs straight to Lake Logan, so swimming and fishing happen without leaving the property. Lake Logan State Park is a five minute walk if you want to use the public beach or hike the trails along the water. The Hocking Hills Regional Welcome Center is three minutes by car, and the trailheads for Old Man's Cave, Ash Cave, and Conkle's Hollow are an easy drive. We tell guests to do at least one early morning hike and one lake afternoon, in either order.

Where to eat

For dinner in Logan, 58 West is our go-to for a sit-down meal, and Kindred Spirits is a good call when you want something a little more relaxed with a solid drink list. If the group is hungry after a hike and you want something casual on the way back, Pizza Crossing does the job.
